What Flowpane checks

Flowpane reviews homepage evidence for references to tracking technologies and consent-management tools. Read the result as an observation of available evidence, with the time and scope shown.

Interpreting an observation

A technology reference does not establish that tracking occurred. A consent-tool reference does not prove that a banner appeared or that consent choices work correctly.

Use a clean browser to test first visit, rejection, acceptance, individual preferences and withdrawal. Compare what happens with your published policies and technology records.

Flowpane’s result does not determine cookie purpose, necessity, exemption, applicable law or valid consent. It also does not establish advertising seller relationships.

An example of a limited observation

A homepage can contain a reference to a consent tool while still needing separate tests of first visit, reject, accept and withdrawal. Conversely, a tracker used only on a checkout page may not be visible in the obtained homepage evidence. Treat the result as a starting point for investigation and record the observation time.

For Blocked or Error, assess public access before drawing conclusions about tracking. A healthy Flowpane score does not establish valid consent, determine legal basis or certify compliance. There is no automatic banner interaction or complete cookie inventory in this check.
