Review and quick remediation

Review is the fast way to inspect a Site's governance findings and act on supported corrections. Open Review on the Site's row in the Workspace dashboard. It groups the resources needing attention so you can work through them without navigating between full artefact pages.

Before you act

Check the Site, observation time and resource status. A missing resource, a blocked request and a finding in obtained content need different responses. Read the evidence before choosing a fix. You need the appropriate role and plan for editing, AI assistance or applying a managed change; readable findings do not imply write authority.

Working through a finding

  1. Select the artefact needing attention.
  2. Read the finding and available evidence. If content could not be loaded, retry rather than treating an empty view as an empty file.
  3. Use Fix or the offered quick action where the finding supports it. A supported Fix saves the correction to the shared draft; read the returned outcome. For a missing file, review any suggested starter against your Site's actual policy and details.
  4. Review the proposed text. Fix all addresses available fixes; it does not settle every finding or decide policy intent.
  5. Use Generate with AI where offered and plan-entitled. Ordinary Fix actions do not themselves require AI. Check contacts, URLs, licences and policy wording before accepting a suggestion.
  6. Follow the displayed save, validation or managed-action confirmation. A successful draft action is not website publication.

For example, you can prepare a supported correction to a robots.txt directive without opening the full editor. If the change needs a policy decision or wider editing, open the linked Workbench instead.

When to use Workbench

Use Workbench to inspect full Current and Proposed content, edit more broadly, inspect saved revisions, validate or seek review. The saved revision, approval and observed result serve different purposes. Supported Apply controls make website changes only under the separate Managed changes authority.

Limits and follow-up

Review does not automatically repair a blocked Site, certify compliance, publish every file or resolve publisher-intent questions. Cookies & Consent is evidence-only; Sitemaps has its own workflow. After publishing a change, run another public check to assess the outcome. Closing Review or reading a finding does not mark the external problem fixed.
