Flowpane for Adobe Experience Manager
Flowpane for Adobe Experience Manager connects AEM as a Cloud Service to Flowpane through Adobe's own authorisation. Nothing is installed on your website: Flowpane reads from Adobe's APIs and compares what Adobe reports with what your public website actually serves, across the ways AEM delivers a website.
Delivery models
| AEM delivery | What Flowpane reads | Changes Flowpane can apply with approval |
|---|---|---|
| AEM Sites | Environment identity and domain mappings from Cloud Manager, and verified page events | Guided: Flowpane shows the change to make in AEM |
| Headless, with Content Fragments | Fragment inventory, status, variations and delivery | Publishing and unpublishing through AEM's publication workflow |
| Edge Delivery Services | Status of each path and the site configuration, including the production host, content source, robots.txt and sitemap configuration | Publishing, unpublishing, sitemap regeneration and the robots.txt configuration |
Your environments, your Sites
Flowpane keeps Adobe's structure intact: organisation, Cloud Manager program, environment and its author, publish and preview services, or the Edge Delivery organisation, site and branch. Each Flowpane Site is linked to exactly one production environment or Edge Delivery site, within the content roots you choose, and only once Flowpane has verified the Site's public address. Adobe-operated preview and publish hosts are never treated as your public website.
Source and public, side by side
Flowpane compares Adobe's source evidence with its own independent public checks of robots.txt, sitemaps, canonical links and indexing directives, and shows where they agree, where they differ, and what each side alone reports.
Changes with your approval
Connecting does not give Flowpane permission to change anything. Where Managed changes is enabled, each change is prepared as an exact plan, approved in Flowpane, applied once to the linked environment, and then confirmed in three steps: Adobe accepted it, Adobe shows the new state, and the public website serves it.
Credentials
Flowpane connects through Adobe IMS, using OAuth Server-to-Server credentials or OAuth Web App authorisation. Each credential reaches only the programs, environments and services linked to your Sites, credentials are stored encrypted, and disconnecting stops all access immediately.
