Manual installation

1. Download .xml.gz from Flowpane
2. Upload to your site's document root
3. Verify at https://yoursite.com/sitemap.xml.gz
4. Add Sitemap: line to robots.txt
5. Submit to Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools

Before uploading

Confirm the public address with the authorised host maintainer and preserve existing sitemap output. A split generated set needs its index and all referenced child files; uploading only one child leaves an incomplete declaration. Use the actual published filename in robots.txt and search-console submission.

Check afterwards

Open the published URL and confirm it returns the expected sitemap content rather than an HTML fallback or sign-in page. Check child URLs, then re-scan in Flowpane. Keep a process for regenerating the list when the Site changes: a manually uploaded snapshot does not update itself. Flowpane does not submit it to search engines on your behalf.
