Installing on Shopify

Shopify manages its own sitemap output. This page is publication guidance, rather than a Flowpane CMS connection: Flowpane does not offer a Shopify Site Integration or general permission to edit your store.

Before changing discovery

Inspect the store's public sitemap and determine what already declares or submits it. Confirm that any externally hosted generated sitemap is publicly reachable and appropriate for the store’s URL inventory. Do not assume that a downloaded file can be uploaded into Shopify’s document root.

Ask the store's authorised maintainer to review Shopify's current supported publication and robots-editing options. A robots.txt reference changes discovery guidance; it does not create, host or validate the referenced file. Keep the Shopify-generated inventory unless you have an agreed reason and supported replacement process.

Verify the outcome

Check the public sitemap URL, any sitemap index and the intended robots.txt declaration. Re-scan in Flowpane and verify submission separately in your search-console account. A successful submission does not guarantee indexing.
