Google Search Console

Connecting a Site to Google Search Console lets Flowpane import the sitemap submission data Google holds for that property: which sitemaps are submitted, their coverage counts, and any errors and warnings. The Sitemap Workbench then reconciles what Google has against what Flowpane found on the public site.

Read-only access

Flowpane reads Search Console information so you can compare Google's view with observations from your public site. Your sitemap submissions and Search Console property settings remain unchanged.

To submit a generated sitemap to Google, use Google Search Console.

Connecting

  1. Open the Site, click Settings and go to Integrations.
  2. In the Google Search Console section, click Connect Google.
  3. Sign in with the Google account that has access to the Search Console property and approve read-only access.
  4. Back in Flowpane, choose a property that covers this Site and click Use this property or Use the selected property.
  5. Review the bound property, its type (URL-prefix or domain), access and the time sitemaps were last read.

Connecting and managing access require integration management access. If authorisation is interrupted, start again from Connect Google.

Refreshing data

Click Refresh sitemap data in the Integrations section to import the latest sitemap information from Google. The result is shown inline. Imported data appears in the Sitemap Workbench alongside Flowpane's own evidence. View Google evidence in Sitemaps → Files & pages opens that comparison.

Reconnecting

If a connected Google account shows Needs attention, read the reason shown. When authorisation needs renewing, click Reconnect and authorise again, then confirm the property for the Site.

If the connected account has no property covering this Site, check that the Site's public address is included in a property your Google account can access.

Managing access

Click Unlink property and confirm to remove the association between this Site and its Search Console property. The Google account stays connected to the Workspace, and collected evidence remains in history. You can then choose another property that covers the Site.

Disconnect a Google account

Under Google accounts connected to this Workspace, find the account, click Disconnect and review the confirmation. Disconnecting removes Flowpane's stored access for that connection and unlinks every Site in the Workspace that uses it. Collected evidence remains in history.

Flowpane requests revocation from Google when the same Google account is not used by another active Flowpane connection. You can also manage Flowpane's access through your Google account's third-party access settings.
