title: Site Settings description: The per-Site settings pages: general, deployment, monitoring, integrations, tags, team, reporting and danger zone.
Site settings¶
Click the Settings (gear) icon in a Site's header to open its settings. Workspace admins can edit; other roles see the settings read-only with a note to contact an admin.
General¶
- Site name — the display name
- Domain — read-only after the Site is added
- Declared platform — your statement of the CMS or framework, with a custom name option. Flowpane's own observation is shown alongside and never overwrites it. See Platform detection.
- Industry and Region / country
- Status and Site ID — read-only; the ID can be copied for support requests
Site capabilities are checkboxes describing what the site does: Advertising, E-commerce, Accepts payments, User accounts, Publishes content, iOS app, Android app and Progressive web app. They determine which governance artefacts are treated as required or recommended for this Site, and therefore how a missing artefact counts towards the Site score:
| Artefact | Relevance |
|---|---|
| robots.txt, Sitemaps, security.txt | Always required |
| Cookies & Consent, llms.txt, ai.txt | Recommended once any capability is set; required until then |
| humans.txt | Always recommended |
| ads.txt | Not applicable unless Advertising is set, then required |
| Cookies & Consent | Required when E-commerce, Accepts payments or User accounts is set |
| security.txt | Required when Accepts payments or User accounts is set |
AI content preference records whether you are Restrictive, Permissive or have No preference about AI use of the Site's content. It is context for guidance only; it does not change ai.txt, robots.txt, crawler access or any model's behaviour.
Deployment¶
Deployment credentials are used for one purpose: pushing a generated sitemap from the Sitemap Workbench to your server. They are never used for the six fixed governance files, whose Workbenches cannot publish.
- Protocol — SFTP, FTP or FTPS (explicit TLS). FTPS cannot be saved yet; choose SFTP where possible.
- Host, Port, Username, Password and Remote path. The password is masked and is never sent back to the browser once saved.
- SFTP host-key fingerprint — required for SFTP. Flowpane connects only if the server presents this exact key.
Click Test connection to check the credentials. The test compares the server's key against the fingerprint you entered; it never records or accepts the key the server presents, so a wrong fingerprint fails rather than being learned.
Plain FTP sends credentials unencrypted and shows a warning. Credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Deployment itself is available to Publishers and Admins. See Exporting sitemaps.
Monitoring¶
A read-only summary of the check schedule that applies to this Site. The interval comes from your plan, not from a per-Site setting. On the Free plan it explains that scheduled checks are unavailable and checks are manual only. Crawls are never scheduled automatically. See Check scheduling.
Integrations¶
- Google Search Console — connect, refresh and reconnect. See Google Search Console.
- CMS Connector — a section describing a future connection between your CMS and Flowpane. No connector is available on any plan today; see Extensions and integrations.
Tags¶
Free-text labels for organising Sites, such as "priority" or "client-acme". Type a tag and press Enter or + to add it, and × to remove it. Up to 10 tags of up to 48 characters each. The first four appear in the Site header.
Team¶
A read-only list of the Workspace's members and their roles, with a link to the Workspace Team page. Every Workspace member can access every Site; per-Site access control is not yet available.
Reporting¶
The intended report cadence and report types. See Report recipients.
Danger zone¶
Remove site permanently deletes the Site and all of its governance data, check history and artefacts. Type the Site's exact name to confirm. There is no undo. See Removing and restoring.
